Whiskey Sour cocktail recipe

Whiskey cocktail, shaken and served up (no ice, chilled glass). An IBA official cocktail (The Unforgettables).

Ingredients

Method

  1. Add everything to a shaker with ice and shake well (a little harder with egg white).
  2. Strain into a cobbler or sour glass, or into a rocks glass over ice.

Glass: Cocktail glass · Garnish: Half an orange slice and a maraschino cherry, or orange zest.

Variations and notes: If egg white is used shake little harder to release and incorporate the foam from the egg white.

This recipe uses raw egg. The CDC and USDA warn that raw eggs can carry Salmonella, so pasteurized egg whites are a safer choice, especially for children, older adults, pregnant people and anyone with a weak immune system.
